SOFTWARE:

The district provides all of us access to ScreenCastify. It's a very intuitive program but it does take practice.

Please don't do a one-and-done sort of project at the last minute-- most especially if you've never used the program before.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this video is to provide direct instructions to a fellow student on how you obtained data for this investigation.

CONTENT:

Begin with some sort of introduction -- remember, you are talking to your peers so be sure to emphasize areas that gave you problems and comment appropriately about those.

Include:

PART I

An intro to the NOAA tsunami page

A reference to how to evaluate data on the tsunami page

A full blown, step by step depiction of how to obtain data from the OOI PREST or CTD sensors, again, with appropriate commentary to your peers who may be watching your video

PART II

Show how to download, unzip and load that data into Google Sheets or Excel

PART III

Finally, show the entire process for creating a well-crafted tsunami graph showing all the tips and tricks you learned over the course of the last few weeks.
